1. What BuildBridge is

BuildBridge is an online marketplace that introduces homeowners to verified contractors for home renovation and new-construction projects. BuildBridge is an introduction service only. We are not the contractor, not a party to your work contract, and do not guarantee the quality of any work. BuildBridge does not verify contractors' insurance, WSIB coverage, or trade licensing — confirm these directly with any contractor before you hire.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and be at least the age of majority in Ontario. Contractors must verify their email before unlocking leads (additional verification, such as a phone check, may be required as the platform grows); business number and other business details are optional. Homeowners can post a project without an account.

3. Leads and tokens

Contractors pay tokens to unlock a homeowner's contact details (a “lead”). During beta, unlocking is free; afterward, an unlock may cost tokens computed by the Scope Pricing Engine by project size. Each project can be unlocked by a limited number of contractors. Tokens are recorded in an immutable ledger. Token purchases include HST and are non-transferable.

4. Working together and payment for work

When a contractor unlocks your project they receive your contact and may reach out to you directly. Any agreement, scheduling, and payment for the work is arranged off-platform between the homeowner and the contractor. BuildBridge does not hold deposits, escrow, or payment for the work itself — we process only contractor token purchases.

5. Conduct

No fake projects, no harassment, and no attempts to scrape, resell, or misuse homeowner contact details. We may suspend or ban accounts that violate these terms (see Policies).

6. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes require re-acceptance before you continue using the service (current version 1.0).

7. Beta & liability

The service is provided “as is” during beta. To the extent permitted by Ontario law, BuildBridge is not liable for the acts, omissions, or work quality of any contractor or homeowner.
